More outdoor pictures

Here are some more outdoor pictures from yesterday.  It is crazy how hot it has been here this week. Record breaking temperatures 4 days in a row.  Our grass is growing like crazy and some of our Spring flowers have arrived.  The only thing to really complain about is that our allergies are going crazy.

Addie likes to make all kinds of silly faces!

Addie also loves to go real high on her swing!

He looks so big!

Already loves the slide!

Attempt to get them to sit together for a picture.  Maybe next time.

More than willing for a silly face picture!

Such a happy girl when she is swinging.

Oh the hair!

Curls

The girls wanted their hair in rollers last night after their bath.  Romie's hair takes curls really fast since she already has curls and her hair is so fine.  Addie, on the other hand, has such thick straight hair it doesn't take curls very well any more.  When we removed the rollers Romie looked like Shirley Temple and Addie looked pretty much like Addie.  I told Addie that her hair looked more like Ariel's and that seemed to help but she was pretty bummed with the outcome.  I think that I need to get more rollers and roll less hair on each roller and that might help.

Bummed!

Roller Party

Addie had another skate party at the Roller Cave this Saturday.  She was nice enough to invite her sister this time so that was nice.  They were both very excited.  Addie did much better this time and Romie did fall too many times.  Romie enjoyed standing and dancing with her arms in the air as Addie attempted little jumps and spins on her skates.  I really enjoy doing these kinds of activities with the kids.  Bonus is that I get a work while having fun.

Sully and Jo

Addie and Sully were watcing tv the other day and I noticed they were sunning themselves like dogs do.  They were sitting near the back door catching some warm sun that was coming in.  Pretty funny.  The other photo is of Sully trying to get comfortable in Addie's American Girl doll bed.  He got in there but seemed to be a little tight.  The sad thing is he would not have fit there even as a newborn.

Romie!

Romie has been up to dressing up in some of her silly outfits again. Here are a couple that she has tried out recently.  I just love this kid!
The Bunny

Not sure what this was but it was really pink and very accessorized!

The Great Outdoors

We have been enjoying the outdoors the past couple of weeks.  The weather we are having here is amazing.  Here are some pictures taken of our fun outside.  These were taken before we had highs near 80.  This past week we were wearing shorts and flip flops.  Devin even broke down and turned the AC on because it got so stuffy inside.  Fingers crossed it stays like this and we don't get a freak snow storm at the end of the month.  Ideal weather for soccer practice that starts next week.

My other crafty project

I was feeling crafty the other day after I had made the calender so I found another project to try.  I saw an idea on Pinterest where they had taken a frame and used paint swatches from the store as a border.  So I had some frames that I bought at Ikea that I haven't used yet and some extra paint swatches that I was just going to throw away.  This was my finished product.  I made one for each of the kids.  I think they turned out pretty cute.

The Countdown

I made a countdown calender for our Disney trip!  I am not sure who was more excited about it the girls or myself.  Now instead of asking me every day if it is almost time for Disney they can go check out the calender in their playroom.  Every night before bed we place another Mickey head over that day's number.  It is even useful for the countdown to Spring Break and the last day of school.  This poster board had just enough room for day 90 to day 11 so when we get to the final 10 days we will have a different countdown to use. So far we have a whole row covered.

Grandma Nita and the Girls

Grandma Nita was over the other day and played some games with the girls and their cousins.  This is a picture of them playing Disney Headbanz.  So cute and such a fun memory.  Grandma will be 91 years old in May and still keeps up with these crazy ladies.

Mother Nature is Confused

Last Wednesday

Today
Since we go from 30 degrees to 60 degrees in the matter of 24 hours these days we are all a little confused by what Mother Nature is trying to do.  Last week it was so warm that I put shorts and a shirt on Sully to play in for the afternoon.  Today he was back to his sweatsuit and winter coat.  Tomorrow we are back to Spring like weather.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Addie's class celebrated the birthday of Dr. Seuss today at school.  I was lucky enough to go spend the entire morning with them and get in on the festivities.  The first thing they did was make their silly blue Thing hair.  The kids had so much making this and laughing at each other.  So silly.  Most of the kids wore red like the teacher had asked today and we pinned either a Thing1 or Thing2 on their shirts.  After a few class activities and a trip to the gym they all enjoyed a tasty treat.  Ms. Morris brought in cupcakes that the kids added a pretzel rod to and added cotton candy to the top making it resemble the Truffula tree from the Lorax.  So much fun!!!
