Romie's Crazy Bedhead

Poor Romie struggles with bedhead every morning. This was a pretty bad case of it.

The Big 10 Years!!!!

Devin and I celebrated our 10th anniversary this year. It has gone by so fast. Devin had to work on out anniversary this year but when he got home that night we decided to put on out wedding attire for fun. We got a Lo of laughs out of each other. We are also impressed that everything still fit. We were able to go out to dinner a few nights later. Here's to many more happy years together.

 

Poor Puppies

The puppies were fixed at the end of August. Latte also had her dew claws removed on her hind legs. The boxers had a rough time recouping because of an internal reaction the their sutures. Latte was healed just fine but was a big baby.

Sleepers

The back to school schedule was really wearing. I love taking pictures of the kids sleeping and in this case Devin too.

Sully's Silly Hair

Sully loves for me to put hair bands in his hair. Sometimes he likes the Mohawk look but on this day he went for the bug antennas.

LumberJack Devin

We had our first tree fall and Devin was more than happy to take a chainsaw to it. Scary really how excited he was.

 

Sully's First Day of School

I can't believe I am writing about Sully's first day of school.  Where has all the time gone?  It seems like just yesterday I was carrying him into the school to pick up his sisters. Sully is starting out school in the 4s class three times a week and he couldn't be happier about it.  On his days off he wants to be there.  He loves his teachers this year and enjoys all of his new friends. 

Swim lessons

The kids took swim lesson late in the summer but better late than never. Addie absolutely loved swim lessons and has become a fairly good swimmer. Sully did well and was cooperated with Charly when she asked him to try. Romie, on the other hand, was a difficult student. Romie has a fear of water and does not like to get her face wet. This is a pretty big obstacle when learning to swim. Charly wouldn't let Romie give up and by the end of lessons Ro was swimming. Unfortunately, on their last day (my birthday) of swimming lessons Sully decided to step of the steps of the pool and went under. Charly was swimming with Romie and I became super mom and swooped in to grab him. I skinned up my knees and bruised my elbow!! Sully wasn't happy and was not as easy as normal to work with the rest of lessons.  Ro witnessed the whole thing and only made her fear the water even more. Looks like more lessons are in the future for us.

 

 

Quiet Reading

Addie enjoys quiet time for reading and listening to books on CD. She made me laugh the other day because she was complaining the "little ones" won't give her peace and quiet even if she asks them nicely. Ha! I had to responded with the old "welcome my world".
