First Day of School

Addie and Romie started school very early this year. It is crazy to say they were in school before August 1st. I can't believe I have a 2nd grader and a Kindergartener!!  Everyone was excited to start back to school. I think they will both have an amazing year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Special Delivery

The kids received a post card from Uncle Trent this July. Not too many little ones can say their uncle sent them a post card from the FBI Academy. Sully thought it was very cool. He carried it around with him until I was able to grab it and put it up on our bulletin board. Later that afternoon we all sent Uncle Trent a letter and some drawings from the kids.

Growing Boy

Poor Sully wanted to wear a Superman costume so badly he didn't care if it was three sizes too small. This is the costume he wore when he was a year old!  He felt the cape wasn't large enough so he chose his sisters BatGirl cape instead. I guess it did the job. He was so happy to wear it.

 

Coach Dad

Coach Devin had the girls out working on their soccer skills getting them ready for Fall season to begin. I love the fact that they are in their cleats, shin guards, and dresses. It was a funny to watch. Addie also enjoyed Scout's defensive skills.

 

Back to School Shopping

We were able to do some back to school shopping with the Parker's and Grandma Peggy this year. We had a little lunch at the mall, a good time at Build a Bear, and then Grandma caved and rode the mall train with them. It was a great day for all.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My Babies??

The girls were quietly playing upstairs the other day. When I yelled up for them to come down this is what they were dressed in. What is wrong with these two?? This is when you can never trust "quietly playing". 

 

TV Time

My kids like to snuggle during TV time. In this case these two had each other. I love it.

 

Little Gray Kitten

While visiting Shelbyville the other day the kids befriended a little gray kitten that lived a few doors down. The kitten adored the kids just as much as they did him. He stayed all day to play and when we went home so did he. A couple weeks later we went down again and their little gray friend came back to play.  Stayed all day and then again went home when we did. As much as I do not like cats I have to say this little guy was too cute. Our new friend really took a liking to Romie. He followed her everywhere and let her hold him as much as she wanted. It almost made me feel bad making her leave him behind. Almost.

Tubeless!!!

Sully is finally tubeless!  We hope that he remains that way this time. At his ear recheck with Dr. Miner his tubes were laying in wax inside the ear canal. Dr. Miner removed them and gave them to Sully. Dr. Miner told Sully to place them under his pillow for the tube fairy to come visit. I had no idea there was such thing as a tube fairy!!  After examining the tubes that afternoon we placed them under his pillow. That night the tube fairy placed a SpiderMan toy under Sully's pillow. I hope the tube fairy never has to return.

Round One of Swim Lessons

The kids had a blast taking swim lessons from Charly this summer. This was the last day of our first round of lessons. Charly gave them some free time for being such good students.

 

Ashley's 9th Birthday

Just like I couldn't believe Colby was turning 16, I couldn't believe Miss Ash was turning 9. What is happening to all these babies?!?  Ashleynhad her party at Uncle Travis' neighborhood pool again this year. It is always the hit at our house that is for sure. This year Addie is swimming on her own and finally got enough nerve up to jump off the diving board. After the first jump she became a super jumper!  Even Grandma Peggy jumped!!!

 

 

Reunion

It was a reunion in the making for over a year and this summer it finally happened. I was so happy to see Mindy and her sweet babies this summer. My mom, the kids, and I drove over to visit for awhile. My little ones and hers played together like they have known each other their entire lives. Mindy and I were the same way. I really missed her in my life.

 

Jeckyl and Hyde

This is a picture of a sweet sleeping angel that had just had a total melt down at Stride Rite in the Castleton Square Mall.  Just sayn'.

 

Sully's Birds

Sully is getting to be such a big boy that it is starting to make me sad. This picture is from the other night when he fell asleep cuddled up next to his birds. I took that moment in as I could because no matter how big he gets he will always be my baby. Those birds may even go off to college with him one of these days.

 

Sully's First Movie

We took Sully to see his first movie at the cinema. We saw Monster's University and he was good boy. He was so good we ended up seeing Despicable Me 2 and Turbo this summer as well.
