Heels

I took the girls to pick out some cheap yet comfy shoes to wear on our trip to Chicago.  I was searching the section with their sizes and I turn around and find them in heels!  I don't think so girlies!  The sad thing is, they could walk really well in them.

Guy Trip

Today Devin and Sully went to get a haircut. Before they went I had to pick Sully up from school.  I told Sully that he was going on a guy trip with Daddy today to get their hair cut.  He then asked if it was a guy trip, did that mean there was going to be beer there.  Seriously!  I guess is Sully's eyes a guy trip equals a beer run.  Funny guy.

Aggie!

Aggie was in town and had a few minutes to stop by for a visit!!! It was so nice seeing her and catching up.  Time went too fast.  Maybe next time we can visit on her turf in Seattle.

Soccer Practice

Addie had her first soccer practice of the season.  She was so excited to get back out there.  This year her field size doubles and she will be playing with goalies.  Romie decided that she didn't want to play this season, but when she got on the field with Addie she changed her mind.  Unfortunately for Romie it was too late for her to play.  I think we will have both girls playing next season. 

Sweet Sully

It is almost back to school time for Sully!  We had to send a picture to school for his teachers so we went outside and took this one. Such a handsome big boy.

Hops 4 Hope

Devin was really excited about going to the beer tasting event at the fairgrounds this summer.  He took my dad for what he thought would be a quick trip.  They were dropped off when it started and didn't call for a ride until it was over.  Devin was in a great mood until all the beer he "tested" caught up with him.  My dad seemed to handle it a little better.  We told them it was a beer tasting party and the didn't have to drink them all.  They both responded in unison "we tried".  Good grief.

Back to School Germs

Romie made it a week at school before coming down with a virus.  Fever and stomach upset for the weekend.  She only missed one day of school.  I hate it when they feel so lousy. Sully woke up on that Monday morning complaining of the same thing, but luckily it went away once his cartoons were on.  Addie was never bothered by it.  We dodged a bullet with this one.  Usually when one goes down the others are soon to follow.

Birthday Sushi

Devin picked us up sushi for my birthday lunch this year.  Yum!

Sometimes the girls love each other.

"Blueberry chocolate"

Romie's favorite treat is her "blueberry chocolates".  This chocolate was actually a cherry dipped in dark chocolate the size of her nose.

Another Dress Up Event

I have had many posts on my children's love of dressing up.  Here is another great example.  Addie was trying her best to look the part of one of her Ever After High characters.  Sully just thought his colors matched.

Toothless Ro!

Romie lost her first tooth!  Like her sister the big tooth was starting to grow in before the little one was out.  She looks so old with the missing tooth.  Growing up way too fast.  She was a little nervous about the tooth fairy coming in while she was sleeping, so she asked if we could put the tooth beside her pillow and not under it.  Luckily that works for the tooth fairy too and she left the $5 under her pillow!

Strong Man

The kids like when Devin picks them up on each arm.  So far he can still do it, but I think that his little dumbbells are getting heavier and heavier. 

Sleepover

The girls finally had their sleepover with the Capen girls.  Addie and Emma stayed at our house, Romie and Sophie stayed at theirs.  This was Romie's first sleepover and she loved it!  Addie and Emma had a great time here and were nice to Sully and let him play along. 

Romie's New Sport

Romie has found her new sport.  Wii golf!

Daddy Love

We hate it when Devin has to go to work in the evening.  The kids try to load him up with hugs and kisses when he goes.  These pictures show how much these little guys look like their dad!

Best Friends

Even though they don't go to the same school the girls will always remain the best of friends.  I think that Addie and Emma would literally be lost without each other.  Sully and Lily are following suit.  They may not see each other everyday, but the always pick up right where they left off.  Such a beautiful thing to see. 

After School Smiles

After the first day of school the girls got a few pictures with friends.  Nice to see all the smiling faces.

Freedom

So I thought Sully would really miss having his sisters around him during the day.  I asked him if he was sad they were at school, his answer was a simple "no".  He enjoyed the freedom to do whatever he wanted.  he even got to go to Gander Mountain and walk around.  I can't believe I will be sending him off all day next year.  I think I will enjoy this year hanging with my guy.

First Day of School!!!

The girls went back to school and it was a success.  Both girls received the teachers that they wanted and all is well in the classroom.  Here's to a fabulous 1st and 3rd grade year!!

Strawberry Jam

When God hands you strawberries, you make strawberry jam.  The girls and I attempted strawberry jam with their princess cookbook.  Wasn't too bad. 

Cramming

The girls decided they better read a book since school starts in one day.  I guess better late than never.  I would to say they did this all summer.  Next year I will make sure it happens.

Swimming in the Rain

Devin helped out his friend Alex hang a ceiling fan and the kids and I went along to swim.  The kids didn't seem to mind it rained the whole time they were swimming.
