Sisterly Love

Romie brought home a card from school last week that she had made.  I thought she had made it for Devin and I but she quickly walked past us to hand it to Addie.  She had made an Easter card for her sister.  What a sweet thing for her to do!

Another Use for Tights

My girls love tights!  Romie is usually the one coming up with new ways to wear them but this time Addie was the clever one.  She put the tights on her and then used the legs to securely carry her bear around.  She was able to walk around hands free and even rode her bike while wearing this contraption.  One of these days she is going to ask me why I let her wear it but for the moment she was really proud of her invention.

Go Addie Go

Addie is getting so big!  She has recently been making a mental list of all the things that she has done lately to prove it.  One of her most proud moments recently is she has moved from the 4 piece Happy Meal to the 6 piece Mighty Kids Meal.  But today she has out done even that.  Starting last Friday we took off her training wheels and have been practicing on two wheels.  There have been a few falls, scrapes, and bruises but she has really been trying to get it.  Today it finally came to her.  She was ready to go on her first official two wheel bike ride.  She did have a couple spills but most of the time she kept it upright.  We are so proud of her.  She said she will never have training wheels again with a giant smile on her face!
She was telling the neighbor about riding without training wheel and then she crashed because she wasn't paying attention.  Oops! Lesson learned.

Yea Addie!!

CRASH!

She's good!

Are you watching?!

And she's off!

Romie told Addie she was awesome. How sweet.  Romie will be on two wheels before too long.

Sully is doing his best to keep up.

Easter Bunny Time

We went to see the Easter Bunny at Walgreen's the other night.  The girls were happy to sit in his lap but Sully liked to only wave from a far.  He screamed when I tried to put him on his lap and was more interested in the eggs that were all around.  I hope this isn't a sign for what it will be like for him at Disney.

Just ignore the kid with the egg!

I like the way the Bunny is looking at Sully like seriously?  At this point Sully was doing his best not to make eye contact with anyone especially the Bunny.

Surprise Trip to the Zoo!!

After we ate with Grandma I decided that I was going to brave a trip to the Zoo by myself with the kids.  After all we had such a great day earlier in the week at the mall I figured that this wouldn't be bad at all.   We got a call from Emily and she told us they were going to the Zoo also so we were met them there.  I didn't tell the kids where we were going after lunch but when we pulled in it was pure excitement.  Romie even told me I was the best mom ever!!!  We enjoyed our trip with the Parker's at the Zoo.  Uncle Dennis even took Addie on the roller coaster and we all went on the train.  Romie and Sully opted for the carousel.  It was a beautiful day but we all agreed we will have to take Daddy with us the next time.

Addie was going to ride with Ash but the employee said she was shorter than Mae so she had to ride with Uncle Dennis.  She didn't like hearing that but she had an awesome time anyway.

Romie dancing to the music on the train.

Lunch with Grandma

For one of our Spring Break treats we went to eat lunch with Grandma Peggy at her school.  Romie and Sully thought they were big stuff walking the halls with all the big kids.  Addie was really checking the school out and comparing it to her own.  Grandma took us down to her Kindergarten class and Addie was shocked that they did some of the same things that her class does.  We really enjoyed our lunch with Grandma.

Romie was so proud of her visitor pass.

They had to have a silly face pose.

Build-a-Bear

To start off their Spring Break week the girls chose to go to the Build-a-Bear Workshop.  Neither one of them had been before so this was very exciting.  Addie chose a purple bear and named her Sweetie.  Romie chose a pink bear, of course, and named her Heart.  Seeing them so happy about making their bears was worth the money spent.  Since Sully didn't make a bear his treat was a new ball from the Disney store.  Everyone went home happy.  I was a happy mommy because on this day we went to the mall, Costco, and Target without any tantrums or meltdowns.  I love days like these.
