Siesta Key 2012

We had a great trip to the beach for the first leg of our Florida 2012 vacation.  We got to Sarasota in one day which was amazing so we had more time to get things done before we hit the beach.  We stayed at a hotel the first night just to get up early the next morning for breakfast at Dutch Heritage and then over to Bradenton for a visit with Grandpa Bennett.  We haven't seen him in two years since his 100th birthday party.  He is doing well and looks great.  It was nice catching up with him.  After that we headed to the beach for a few days of relaxing.  Siesta Key was beautiful as always and it was hard saying goodbye to the beach when it was over.
Sully enjoyed playing with Grandpa George

From our condo.  So beachy.

Romie in front of our future beach house.  I can't believe some actually calls that place home.

Sweet.

Siesta Key 2012

Our first morning at the beach.

Sully decided the beach was a good place to take a nap.

Addie just might be a future surfer. She loved the water.

The kids and I made a sandcastle and then Sully decided to demolish it.  Addie wasn't a happy camper.

The guys.

Sand sculptors made a pirate head.  The girls loved talking to them and using their tools.

The last day we had sea weed come to shore after storms in the Gulf.  Yuck!

A very strange rainbow appeared on our last day.  Very cool!

We couldn't keep Sully out of the water, but Ro and I liked it just about ankle deep. We watch too much Animal Planet.

Sully loved the beach.

Watching the sunset.  Great picture of Addie.

We did a lot of sand removal!

Addie had shrimp or fish everyday.  She was in heaven.

Beautiful sunsets in Siesta Key.
