It is that time of year and the Bennetts are starting to feel the spirit. We got our tree up the day after Thanksgiving and have been putting little things out since then. I have decided that most things will remain in storage this year due to the kids wanting to get into everything. Maybe in the next few years we will get other things out again. Since yesterday we have watched Holiday Elmo three times and Sully now has a new favorite song. Sully doesn't say much but he sings the dreidel song clear as day. He likes to run around the family room screaming dreidel dreidel dreidel over and over again. It has caught on and the girls and I are singing it randomly too. Devin thinks we are crazy. I wonder how many times he has caught himself singing it and kept it quiet. Romie is confused and thinks that Santa will be arriving tonight. She came up to me about 6pm and said "Boy am I sleepy. Time to go to bed." I had to break it to her that Santa has a while before he comes and she was surprisingly not sleepy anymore. She then wondered why we put the tree up already. She is becoming more like her dad everyday. Addie has found her antlers and they have become part of her head. The bad thing is she wants to fight like "boy deers" do with Romie wearing her antlers. Not a good idea! She has seen it on Bambi and Animal Planet too many times I am afraid. I told her Santa's reindeer don't fight so I believe she is over it. Devin is working and I am here with the kids watching Christmas movie after Christmas movie. We will see how long the excitement for Christmas lasts for me. But for now I am enjoying every magical moment of it. Pictures of the tree and other Christmas fun are to come.
