Fall Break!

This year we enjoyed our 2 week Fall Break. While we didn't head out on a beach vacation, we did keep ourselves very busy.  The first week Devin had to work so the kids and I just hung out and enjoyed not having to be anywhere. On the first Friday the girls participated in a cheer clinic put on by the high school cheerleaders. That evening they had the opportunity to cheer at the high school football game. Addie wasn't as excited for the clinic as Romie, but participated anyway. The game was another story. While Romie was over the top excited to cheer, Addie chose to sit it out. She claimed it just wasn't her thing.

The second week of break was non stop. Devin took the entire week off so we were free to do whatever we wanted. Our first day we went out to lunch at Mitchell's Fish Market to finally celebrate Devin and Addie's birthday. After lunch we did some shopping and headed home for a movie night. Next day, we went to the pumpkin patch. I love loading up on apples and treats at the orchard. Third day was a trip to the Children's Museum for the Haunted House and a couple rides on the carousel. We also went to lunch at The Old Spaghetti Factory. The weather was beautiful so were able to come home and enjoy a nice walk with the pups. The weather changed on us over night but it didn't stop us from heading to Fort Ben the next day to ride some ponies. They rode Lil Larry and Hershey. Lil Larry was a bit of a stinker but the girls enjoyed it. We even spotted a few deer on our drive through the park. Addie and Ro claim they were so good at spotting the deer that they would make great hunters. They even want to try to eat deer meat. This is where they don't take after their mom. On our final day we attended Zoo Boo. We met up with the Parker's and witnessed the elephant pumpkin smash and rode the train. We always have a good time at Zoo Boo.

After all that we had a very quiet and relaxing weekend.
