October 4th is a very special day for the Bennetts. We get to celebrate Devin and Addie's birthdays on this date every year but this year this date was packed full of things to do. We had big plans for dinner and shopping that night but we woke up to a pretty lousy surprise. Our refrigerator decided to go out in the middle of the night. Waking up to water covering the kitchen floor was not a very happy way for Devin to start his birthday. So with a quick clean up we had to get the rest of the day's events started and would come back to that later. We had to get the birthday girl and Romie off to school. Addie participated in her first Flower Parade at the Riley Festival this year. She was so excited to take her pretty little bouquet to school but not as excited for the little bus ride. She survived the bus ride and enjoyed being apart of the parade. Since we are not from Greenfield it was a new experience for Devin and I as well. Before we went off to watch the parade we had a Tuttle's Field Trip to attend. Sullivan's first official Tuttle field trip. This was also the first time Devin and I could both go on the field trip. Sully felt like such a big guy. I cannot believe he is already old enough to be going on these field trips with his class. After the events we attended we had to get back to the problem from the morning. After determining that the refrigerator was not in the condition to be repaired we had to make a trip to Shelbyville purchase a new refrigerator. Luckily the had exactly what we wanted and had it delivered the next morning. No Bonefish for dinner or shopping but a nice dinner at Cracker Barrel with Grandma and Grandpa made Addie happy. What a crazy day! Next year we will be hanging out in sunny Orlando with the mouse on October 4th!!
