We got our first couple inches of snow the Friday before Christmas. This was the day I mentioned in a previous post that cancelled school. The first snow is always so exciting. The kids played outside for a little while but that did not last long. Sully played for about 5 minutes, Romie around 20 minutes, and Addie a whole half hour. Addie claimed she passed out after filling her hat full of snow and then placing it atop her head. We are unsure what happened out there but she did have a dazed look on her face when she knocked on the door. We believe it may have been external brain freeze! She won't be filling her hat with snow again. The best part of playing outside in the snow is warming up with a big cup of hot chocolate topped with marshmallows. I love the rosy red cheeks and noses with a case of hat head that they have after playing.
